Marketing Communications Manager

Here at FCO Services, we provide UK and friendly foreign government bodies with a wide range of vital secure services. At any given moment, we could be doing anything from building a new embassy in Asia to designing CCTV for a government site in the Americas to rolling out secure WiFi to European government buildings.

It’s complex work with exceptional impact – and the communication challenges we face can be just as significant. Join us, as one of three key managers in our Corporate Communications team, and you can help ensure we continue to get the right messages to the right people at the right time.

Take our external marketing to the next level

The scope of our work is unusual, but you won’t be fazed. Working closely with business development and other key areas of the business, you will deliver a comprehensive range of external marketing and comms activities. This will include working on specific campaigns and producing a wide range of digital and physical collateral, as well as developing our website, managing events and much, much more. The role comes with plenty of responsibility – not only will you be managing a £100,000 budget but you will also have a Digital Comms Officer and a Design Standards Manager as your direct reports.

Apply your marketing expertise at the highest levels

This role involves interaction with senior managers, directors and the CEO, so you’ll need to have some experience of operating at this level in the past. Naturally, a decent track record in marketing is essential – and if you also have a relevant qualification even better. Our digital comms strategy will be part of your remit, so your career history should ideally include website development work. Some line management experience would also be good. Other key qualities we’re looking for include strong copywriting skills, a questioning mentality and the ability to handle lots of different projects at once.

Get a role you can enjoy and benefits you can love

The work we do protects people, assets and information all over the world. So it’s not just interesting, varied, challenging and continuously evolving – it’s of fundamental importance as well. As part of our Corporate Communications team, you’ll have opportunities to travel around the globe, attending various regional conferences and visiting senior managers overseas. There is also plenty of potential for you to grow our marketing capability and take our external communication activities to the next level. Then there’s all the excellent benefits we offer, including a Civil Service pension, great work-life balance and an OFSTED-registered nursery on site. In short? It’s your job, bigger.

All our employees have to be security cleared, so if your application is successful, you will need to undergo a vetting process before joining.
