Internal Messenger

Governments look to FCDO Services (formerly known as FCO Services) to keep their information and assets secure in a constantly changing world, and our work is relied on by customers around the world, including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

This is an opportunity to join our team supporting the Internal Messenger section providing a mail distribution and collection service, to agreed standards, in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Main Building or Lancaster House.

You’ll play an important part in the preparation of outgoing mail ensuring service level agreements with the FCDO are met along with other items of despatch by global courier services.

You should possess good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with customers at all levels of seniority and provide customer service excellence at all times.

At FCDO Services, we work with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and other customers to protect the UK’s interests at home and overseas. That means every role makes a difference. It also makes it a rich and rewarding environment in which to develop your career. Not only will you enjoy on-the-job training, you’ll also have excellent opportunities for development and progression –both within your team and the wider organisation. In short? It’s your job, bigger.

All our employees have to be security cleared before joining us, so you’ll need to undergo a vetting process if you’re successful in your application. This role would require you to undergo Security Clearance (SC) clearance. You can find out more about vetting on our website.
