A technical apprenticeship with FCO Services won’t just see you earning, learning, and building a long-term career – it might just take you around the world too.

The projects you tackle will be vital
We keep information, assets and people secure for government-level customers worldwide. This means you’ll be learning your trade at home and abroad, on important secure engineering and electrical projects that just can’t fail – everything from CCTV and secure communications to intruder detection systems and counter-eavesdropping measures.

You’ll never stop learning
Our three-year programme will start at college, where you’ll build up your technical skills and get some core qualifications under your belt. As you progress, you’ll spend more and more time with us – putting your learning into action on live projects. The second and third years will be all about on-the-job training. It’s also where your career will start to go global, because you’ll have the opportunity to hone your skills on overseas installation projects.

And you already have many of the skills we’re looking for.
We’re open to people of all ages, but you must have at least five GCSEs at C or above, including English, Maths and either a Physics based Science or Electronics subject. You must also be:

• Genuinely interested in electronics and technology
• Ready to take on the biggest challenges, wherever they are in the world
• A great team player
• Happy to work on your own initiative.

In return, we offer a learning experience with potential career progression like no other.
You’ll get full training in a diverse range of equipment, and support to gain your qualifications. What’s more, you’ll earn as you learn and enjoy a host of benefits including a pension scheme. Upon successful completion, we’ll do everything we can to find you a position with us. Should you be offered a permanent position, the current starting salary offered is £22,500.

Due to the nature of our work, all employees have to be security cleared before joining, so you will need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process as part of your application.

Hanslope Park based posts attract a Location Allowance of £1,000 per annum

Your future, brighter.
